I am late to some shows, however, I am glad I was late to this one and I was able to watch all episodes in pretty rapid succession. Popularity sometimes is given a bad name, when things are too popular is because they are bland or boring, appealing to the masses. I think it takes real intelligence to create something that is appealing to so many people but still surprises and moves you at times. It is not on my top 3 shows, but it is absolutely one that I am glad I watched.

Modern Family is such an easy watch, it puts you in a good mood, most of the time it has positive connotations without feeling corny. More than once I found myself actually connecting with the writing, mostly at the end of the episodes where narration recaps and gives context to the stories. I am in the state of grief that usually accompanies the end of a good show, however, I am glad the writers and staff had the opportunity to end it on a high note. Most shows do not end this strong. I thoroughly enjoyed watching so many of the changes in the Pritchet family that mirrored some of the ones in my life.
